Zodiac Zoxlox

Zodiac Zoxlox

One of my favorite quotes is “without darkness, how can one see the stars?” And, if you’re like me, you’re fascinated by the stars and their shining beauty. How is it that we appreciate the awesomeness of the stars illuminating the dark, but we don’t quite recognize what the darkness in our own lives reveals to us?

In my own life, when I’m going through dark periods, I find it hard to see the good things happening around me. Or, if I see them, I struggle to appreciate them. I get so distracted and caught up in my own woes that the shining light that could help pull me out of the dark seems insignificant. Does this sound familiar?

As hard as it is to go through dark periods, sometimes, the most important things can only be seen in the dark. There are some lessons that we can only learn from being isolated, in pain, or in the quiet. You may learn to appreciate yourself more, or those around you – you may even learn that situations aren’t as dire as they seem and shift your perspective completely.

Maybe the answers you need are written in the stars – you just need to look up and see what’s breaking through your darkness.
